Terms of Service

The short version
ChordCraft is a guitar practice tool — a chord library, scale reference, and a private notebook for your songs and practice notes. It's built and maintained by one person. Using it means you're agreeing to keep things reasonable.
What you can store
Your songbook is private — only you can see it. Use it for guitar notes, chord progressions, practice routines, lyrics, anything music-related. That's what it's for.
What you can't store
A few things are completely off-limits, no exceptions:
- Sexual content of any kind
- Step-by-step instructions for serious illegal activities
- Credible threats against real people
- Anything illegal where you live
If any of the above is found, the content gets deleted immediately and the account is closed. Where the law requires it, we report it.
How content is checked
Your notes are private, but ChordCraft runs automated checks in the background — URL safety scanning and AI text review — to catch anything that shouldn't be there. These checks run quietly after you save and won't slow anything down. If something is flagged, the content is removed and reviewed.
Your data
Your songbook content is yours and stays private. It's stored securely and never shared or sold. If you delete your account, your data goes with it.
Availability
ChordCraft is a small indie project. It's provided as-is — there's no guarantee of 100% uptime, and things can break. Important practice notes should always have a backup somewhere else just in case.
Changes
If these terms change in a meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will update. Continuing to use ChordCraft after that means you're okay with the changes.
